The CGMS Student Council is committed to fundraising to help improve our school and our community. We have been able to raise thousands of dollars over the years in order help us achieve this goal. We thank everyone for their continual support in this endeavor.
To give an idea of what we do with our funds, we are listing below just a small sample of what we have been able to accomplish and charities that we support with your help: 1. We have been able to purchase many different items for individual teacher classrooms 2. We have funded small school classroom projects 3. Purchased books for the library 4. Yearly buy a subscription for Battle of the Books to have access to a question database 5. Purchased many different items of need for the school and for campus beautification. (ex: new flag pole and flags, flowers and shrubs, benches for the front of the school, chairs for assemblies, TV's for announcements in the cafeteria, bathroom improvements.) 5. Donate on behalf of the school to Relay for Life 6. Give money to a charity that is close to the heart of our school family. A former teacher at CGMS and her family created a charity in honor of her daughter to help fund research for Cystic Fibrosis. Her daughter was born with this debilitating disease and we have made it our mission to help support their family in this fight. 100% of our donations go directly to research for finding a cure to this disease. Here is a link to the Facebook page for this brave little warrior so you can learn more about her fight. www.facebook.com/belleraisers/ www.cff.org/
